The creative journey for Yūki Kodama’s supernatural fantasy series Agent Jupiter has officially reached its conclusion. Serialization platform Comic Days published the final chapter of the manga, bringing a swift end to the adventures of an overpowered protagonist attempting to trade dimension-spanning vengeance for quiet domesticity.
Parallel Worlds
The narrative follows the titular agent Jupiter, who successfully completes a grueling quest for vengeance on behalf of his sister in a parallel dimension, only to retire to an alternate realm. Seeking to bury his extraordinary abilities and embrace an ordinary civilian life, Jupiter's plans are immediately derailed when an enigmatic young girl crosses his path, turning his carefully constructed quiet existence upside down.
Yūki Kodama initially launched the series in Kodansha's Morning two magazine before transitioning platforms, building on a notable career that includes the supernatural vampire hit Blood Lad and the multi-media franchise Hamatora. While the immediate chapter closes on Jupiter's story, Kodama's distinctive urban-fantasy aesthetic leaves a lasting impression on seinen publication spaces.
