Following the conclusion of its first season, TOUGEN ANKI will return for its second season, subtitled the Nikko Kegon Falls Arc, officially set to premiere on October 2, 2026. Animation studio Studio HIBARI is back to handle production, accompanied by a new promotional video, key visual, and major voice cast additions.
New Cast & Technical Production
The upcoming story arc introduces crucial members of the Momotaro Agency's research operations. The expanded cast includes:
- Kenichi Suzumura as Kusabi Momoura (Chief of the Momotaro Agency’s Kegon Falls Branch Laboratory)
- Yuki Kaji as Hizumi Momotsugi (10th Unit Captain)
- Kisho Taniyama as Senritsu Momoo (3rd Unit Vice-Captain)
Director Ato Nonaka continues to helm the adaptation at Studio HIBARI alongside assistant director Hiroyuki Hashimoto. Series composition and scripts are written by Yukie Sugawara, while Ryoko Amisaki provides character designs. The musical score is composed by KOHTA YAMAMOTO under PONY CANYON. Hiromitsu Kitayama performs the opening theme sequence titled “BACKLASH,” with musical group TRACK15 delivering the ending theme “Hand in Hand.”
