The official production team for the television anime adaptation of Yura Urushibara's dark fantasy manga Tougen Anki has announced that its second season, subtitled Nikko Kegon Falls Arc, will officially premiere on October 2, 2026. Airing nationwide in Japan on Nippon TV's dedicated "FRIDAY ANIME NIGHT" block, the new installment will be broadcast as a split-cour format, with the second half scheduled to return in April 2027. Ahead of the main premiere, special recaps for the earlier Kyoto and Nerima arcs will air on September 30 and October 1 respectively.
New Hostilities & Voice Cast Expansion
Animation studio Studio Hibari continues production under director Ato Nonaka, with series composition overseen by Yukie Sugawara and music composed by KOHTA YAMAMOTO. The newly released promotional video introduces key operatives belonging to the opposing Momotaro Agency. Highlighting this major expansion, voice actors Kenichi Suzumura, Yuki Kaji, and Kisho Taniyama join the cast as Kusabi Momoura, Hizumi Momoji, and Melody Momoo.
Alongside the character additions, the theme song artists were officially unveiled. Hiromitsu Kitayama performs the opening theme song titled "BACKLASH", while rock band TRACK15 contributes the ending theme song "Te to Te".
