Creator yoruhashi, widely recognized for their dark and emotionally intense storytelling, is expanding their footprint in the magazine space with a brand-new series. According to the 46th issue of Akita Shoten's Weekly Shōnen Champion, the author is set to debut Tatarigatachi -Dochakushin Geigeki Gakuin- (Curse Shape -Native God Interception Academy-) in the very next installment.
The narrative revolves around a young boy named Raran. Tragedy strikes when his older sister, who faithfully offers prayers to the local mountain cat god, falls victim to a devastating divine disaster. Consumed by grief and vengeance, Raran makes a solemn vow to eradicate all curses from existence, setting the stage for a brutal supernatural conflict.
This new title arrives hot on the heels of yoruhashi's extensive catalog, which includes the gripping dark fantasy The Kingdoms of Ruin—adapted into a 2023 anime series streamed by Crunchyroll—as well as Rega in the Sleeping Forest. With the creator's penchant for uncompromising stakes and high-concept tragedy, readers can expect an unflinching journey into divine wrath when the series premieres.
