Shueisha's 45th issue of Weekly Shonen Jump magazine has officially announced that manga creator Kazu Kakazu is returning with an all-new series. The vertical-scrolling manga, titled Yosuga Tagurite, is scheduled to launch on Shueisha's specialized Jump Toon service.
The narrative centers on Yosuga, a protagonist born as half-human and half-yokai, enduring harsh ostracization as a monster by those around him. His entire world shifts when a fateful encounter introduces him to Shiki, another young man bearing the exact same distinctive golden eyes.
Previous Works and Creator Background
This new project marks Kazu Kakazu's major return following the serialization of Our Blood Oath (Bokura no Ketsumei), which ran in Weekly Shonen Jump from September 2020 through January 2021 before concluding across two compiled volumes. Western readers may recognize Kakazu's earlier efforts through Viz Media's Shonen Jump platform and Shueisha's MANGA Plus, both of which previously published Our Blood Oath in English alongside the author's 2019 one-shot titled Seiyaku no Aka (Red Pledge).
