The monumental sci-fi saga reaches its grand finale. Official channels for the ambitious anime remake project Star Blazers: Space Battleship Yamato 3199 have dropped the main key visual and trailer for the seventh and final chapter, titled Nijiiro no Rinne. The theatrical run in Japan is locked in for October 30, 2026, marking the dramatic conclusion to the 26-episode sweeping epic split across seven distinct theatrical chapters.
Veteran character designer Nobuteru Yuki, celebrated for his stellar work across Star Blazers: Space Battleship Yamato 2199 and Star Blazers: Space Battleship Yamato 2202, personally illustrated the arresting main visual for this concluding chapter. Meanwhile, direction is spearheaded by Naomichi Yamato, with franchise stalwart Harutoshi Fukui orchestrating series composition, co-writing scripts, and serving as chief director. Animation production is executed by Studio Mother, backed by production assistance from Satelight.

The stellar creative assembly returning for the grand finale features scriptwriter Hideki Oka alongside mechanical designers Junichiro Tamamori, Yasushi Ishizu, and Mika Akitaka.
