The legendary Space Battleship Yamato franchise has reached a monumental milestone as production details for the final chapter, Yamato yo Towa ni REBEL3199 Chapter 7: Rinne of Rainbow Colors, officially drop. Alongside a breathtaking new trailer, the production committee revealed that iconic vocalist Junko Yagami will perform the ending theme song, titled Haruka e, Eien e (To the Distant, to Eternity).
This marks Yagami's triumphant return to the iconic sci-fi saga after an absence of 43 years, having previously lent her voice to Love Supreme for 1983's Space Battleship Yamato: The Final Chapter. The new ending theme is built upon a musical foundation composed by the late Hiroshi Miyagawa for 1980's Be Forever Yamato, with fresh arrangements by Akira Miyagawa and poignant lyrics penned by Yohei Matsui. Fans can also view a newly released music video celebrating the collaboration on the official YouTube channel.
