During the Dengeki Bunko Autumn Festival Online 2026, Kadokawa officially confirmed that Toshimichi Uzou's supernatural romantic comedy light novel Soshiki no Shukuteki to Kekkon shitara Mecha Amai (My Sweet Marriage to My Ex-Nemesis) is receiving a television anime adaptation. To celebrate the milestone, illustrator Kewi Hayashi shared a commemorative key visual capturing the quirky dynamic of the newlywed protagonists.
Production Studio and Core Staff
Animation production will be handled by studio EMT Squared. The series brings together an experienced creative team:
- Director: Atsushi Nigorikawa (Aru Majo ga Shinu Made)
- Series Composition: Keiichirou Oochi (Class de 2-banme ni Kawaii Onnanoko to Tomodachi ni Natta)
- Character Design: Yuki Nakano (Yuusha, Yamemasu)
Uzou originally launched the light novel series under Kadokawa’s Dengeki Bunko imprint in October 2023. A manga adaptation illustrated by Shiime began serialization in Dengeki Maoh in November 2024, with One Peace Books licensing the comic for English publication.

The story follows Roushi Saikawa—known as the feared "Feather Hunter"—and Ritsuka Yanagi, celebrated as the peerless "White Demon." Once leaders on opposite sides of a supernatural conflict, their entire existence revolved around trying to annihilate one another. However, following the dissolution of their respective factions, an unexpected romance blossomed, leading straight to the altar.
