The virtual idol phenomenon is expanding further into traditional television animation. During a special livestream presentation, the upcoming television anime series Odekake Hololive unveiled its core production crew, an extensive star-studded voice cast list, and an official teaser visual.
Helming the project at Studio KAI is director Shunsuke Machitani, recognized for his work on Planetarian. He is joined by assistant director Ouri Yasukawa and series composition writer Koudai Minami. Character designs are being handled by Masatoshi Tsuji, drawing from the massive roster of virtual talents belonging to Cover Corporation.
Extensive Talent Roster
The series will feature a sprawling cast of iconic virtual talents from Hololive Production's Japanese branch, ranging from veteran generation members like Roboco-san, Aki Rosenthal, and Shirakami Fubuki, up through generation successive additions including Usada Pekora, Houshou Marine, and the members of Secret Society holoX such as La+ Darknesss and Hakui Koyori.
Cover Corporation's flagship project has grown exponentially since Tokino Sora's pioneering debut in September 2017. Having surpassed 95.2 million cumulative YouTube subscribers across its global branches by mid-2026, the agency continues to bridge internet culture with traditional media, following previous efforts such as the self-produced web series Holo Graffiti.
