VTuber behemoth hololive has officially confirmed that a television anime adaptation is in active production. Animation duties are being handled by Studio KAI (Uma Musume: Pretty Derby Season 2, Sentenced to Be a Hero). According to parent company Cover Corporation, the ambitious multimedia project has been quietly progressing behind the scenes for approximately five years.
The Road From Alternative
Currently codenamed under the teaser acronym “OdeHolo,” the production draws narrative and visual roots from the celebrated hololive Alternative animated promotional films released between 2021 and 2022. While specific plot points and full title details remain under wraps, the earlier short films established a high-fantasy alternate universe populated by the agency's roster of virtual talents.
Upcoming Special Broadcast
Fans will not have to wait long for substantial updates. Cover scheduled a dedicated information showcase for September 23 featuring a prominent lineup of talent:
- Hosts / MCs: Shirakami Fubuki, Ookami Mio
- Guest Panel: Momosuzu Nene, Omaru Polka, Yukihana Lamy, Shishiro Botan (NePoLaBo)
Alongside the animated television project, the agency also revealed the launch of a new musical unit titled ASOBI★Mawaritai!, marking the first fresh talent grouping formed within the agency in nearly two years.
