Headlining the announcements is the long-awaited confirmation that the virtual talent agency is finally getting a television anime series, currently operating under the working title Odeholo.
According to agency representatives, the ambitious animation project has quietly been in development for roughly five years. Studio KAI has been tasked with handling the animation production. Further details concerning the narrative premise, character designs, and official title will premiere during a dedicated Odeholo Information Reveal Program scheduled for September 23, 2026.
A Decade of Virtual Evolution
The upcoming television series forms the core of COVER Corp’s overarching Production Renewal, a multi-phase rebranding effort leading up to the agency's milestone anniversary on September 7, 2027. Alongside the anime announcement, the company introduced a brand-new talent unit teased under the moniker ASOBI★MAWARI-TAI! («Playground Squad»), accompanied by a commemorative teaser chronicling the agency's meteoric rise.
The sweeping corporate refresh also implements structural changes to how the brand operates globally. hololive will consolidate its regional sub-brands—including hololive English and hololive Indonesia—under a single unified banner, organizing content by viewer language rather than geographical origin. Furthermore, standard model and outfit refreshes will roll out incrementally for talents, starting with Generation 0 pioneer Tokino Sora.
Modernizing the Digital Stage
To support talents in their daily broadcasts, COVER Corp unveiled a proprietary streaming application titled hololive raku. The specialized software integrates advanced lighting assets, device-motion tracking, the proprietary holoEmotion facial expression system, and interactive viewer features such as live chat-integrated mini-games.
As the countdown to the 10th anniversary continues, additional updates and announcements are scheduled to roll out through subsequent episodes of the hololive Next broadcast series, setting a new trajectory for the virtual entertainment landscape.
