Kadokawa Corporation and COVER Corporation have revealed the official title of hololive’s first major television anime project: Odekake Hololive. The announcement arrived during a special broadcast commemorating the franchise's landmark tenth anniversary, accompanied by a striking teaser visual showcasing all 29 participating virtual talents alongside initial production details.
Production Staff and Studio Pedigree
Animation production for the omnibus travel series is entrusted to Studio KAI. The project is directed by Shunsuke Machitani, with Ori Yasukawa supporting as assistant director. Meanwhile, Kodai Minami takes charge of series composition, and Masatoshi Tsuji handles character designs, translating the familiar VTuber models into an expressive animated format.
Talent Lineup and Premise
The series features an expansive roster spanning generations from Gen 0 up to holoX. Participating talents include Tokino Sora, Hoshimachi Suisei, Shirakami Fubuki, Usada Pekora, Shishiro Botan, and Laplus Darkness, among 23 other fan-favorite personalities.
KADOKAWA outlines the premise as an omnibus travel narrative exploring what happens when the digital performers step away from their streaming setups. The synopsis teases journeys across Japan, sampling regional cuisines and experiencing spontaneous adventures throughout changing seasons.
