Origins and High School Absurdity
Kokamumo initially launched NullMeta as a self-published digital strip across Tumblr and Pixiv in April 2018 before taking the concept to Niconico Seiga later that year. The work was subsequently picked up by Houbunsha, running in Manga Time Kirara MAX starting December 2019, where it carved out a devoted following for its offbeat, low-stakes slice-of-life humor.
Kurumi is an android who is not particularly bright, while her guardian Chiaki tends toward eccentric unpredictability. Navigating their high school days alongside Sakina—who possesses an impossibly low threshold for laughter—and the nominally composed Shiyuki, the group spends their routine hours running eccentric software upgrades, tending to Kurumi like a domesticated pet, and wandering into bizarre daily conversations.
Additional details regarding voice casting and global distribution channels will be communicated via the official website and social channels as the 2027 release window draws closer.
