Distributor Aniplex has officially announced that Kokamumo's 4-panel sci-fi comedy manga Null-Meta is receiving a television anime adaptation. The announcement resolves a cryptic teaser campaign launched earlier in the week that displayed the letters "NLMT."
The production brings together an intriguing lineup of creative talent led by director Kai Ikarashi, known for his dynamic visual flair and key contributions to Cyberpunk: Edgerunners. Animation production is being handled by Studio Soigne.
Creative Production Staff
Alongside Ikarashi, the core staff brings substantial experience in high-energy ensemble comedy and character design:
- Director: Kai Ikarashi
- Series Composition: Tatsuya Takahashi (The IDOLM@STER Cinderella Girls, Reborn as a Vending Machine, I Now Wander the Dungeon)
- Character Design: Shin Ogasawara (Pokémon: Twilight Wings)

Serialized in Houbunsha's storied four-panel magazine Manga Time Kirara Max since March 2020, Null-Meta chronicles the chaotic everyday life of high school students centering on Kurumi—an exceptionally clueless android—and the eccentric companions who constantly tinker with, remodel, and pamper her.
