Houbunsha's beloved sci-fi comedy manga Null Meta is officially headed to television screens. The 4-koma series has secured a TV anime adaptation scheduled to premiere in 2027, bringing its distinct mix of chaotic robotic antics and daily school life to life.
The production will be helmed by director Kai Ikarashi, recognized for his dynamic action sensibilities on high-profile projects like Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, with animation production handled by studio Soigne.
From Kirara Pages to Screen
Penned and illustrated by Kokamune, the series originally debuted as a guest feature before securing regular serialization in Houbunsha's Manga Time Kirara MAX in March 2020. The narrative chronicles the bizarre everyday interactions between Kurumi, an absurdly incompetent android, and Chiaki, her long-suffering human caretaker.
With six collected tankobon volumes released by early 2026, the series represents one of Manga Time Kirara MAX's standout modern comedy offerings, pairing deadpan humor with surreal electronic misadventures.
