The supernatural comedy manga Phantom Busters by creator Neoshoco is officially making the transition to television. Announced via the franchise's official X account, the upcoming anime adaptation is currently scheduled to premiere in 2027, bringing the eccentric ghost-hunting crew from Shueisha's pages to animated life.
Serialized in Jump Square since August 2023, Phantom Busters has steadily built an enthusiastic following for its unique blend of supernatural elements and social awkwardness. The English edition is published by VIZ Media, introducing international readers to its memorable cast of characters.
The Ghost-Hunting Club
The narrative follows Mogari, Eugene, and recent recruit Kaoru Kanzaki as they hunt for a fourth member to round out their club. Their target: Kotaro Tamon, a classmate uniquely gifted at conversing with spirits, albeit severely challenged when it comes to interacting with the living.
