The official website for the television anime adaptation of Kyuu Takahata and Yuuji Kaba's romantic comedy manga Kakunaru Ue wa (Now That We Draw) has confirmed a January 2027 premiere window. Alongside the release window, the production committee delivered the first official promotional video and a fresh character visual, giving enthusiasts a comprehensive look at the upcoming project.
Production Team & Studio Pedigree
The series is currently in production at ROLL2, with Shunsuke Ishikawa (Blue Lock: Episode Nagi) directing the animation. The narrative structure and scripts are managed by Deko Akao (Witch Watch), while character designs are crafted by Hiromi Nakagawa (Shiro Seijo to Kuro Bokushi).
Additional creative personnel rounding out the core team include sub-character designer Momoka Izumi, color designer Yurie Matsuura, art director Arei Saiga, and director of photography Hayato Kifune. Sound direction is led by Fumiyuki Gou, with musical compositions arranged by Yoshiaki Miura.
