Akita Publishing's Champion RED magazine has confirmed that Masami Kurumada will publish Saint Seiya Tenkai-hen Then IV, the fourth chapter in his ongoing continuation of the franchise's overarching story arc, in the magazine's February issue scheduled for release on December 18.
Positioned as the canonical successor following the conclusion of Saint Seiya: Next Dimension - The Myth of Hades in July 2024, the Tenkai-hen Then installments pick up the threads of Athena's Saints as they encounter celestial forces beyond Hades. The narrative sequence began with Haikyō no Hana (Flowers of Ruin) in late 2024, followed by Shimei (Mission) and the third chapter earlier this year. Kurumada's push to fully realize the Heavens Arc represents the fulfillment of narrative concepts originally teased in the 2004 feature film Saint Seiya Tenkai-hen Jōsō ~Overture~.
Since its original serialization in 1986, Kurumada's Saint Seiya has achieved over 35 million copies in print, spawning decades of television adaptations, spinoffs, and global CG revivals. Despite recent high-profile legal proceedings initiated by Kurumada regarding financial management at his production companies, the veteran author remains focused on expanding the mythology of his signature cosmos saga.
