Following its spring premiere, the television anime adaptation of Jōmyaku and Mizuki Yoda's Marriage Toxin manga has officially unveiled a teaser promotional video and key visual confirming that Season 2 will premiere in 2027. Production will once again be handled by Bones Film under the overarching supervision of BONES.
Returning Core Creative Team
The core creative staff behind the initial run will return for the upcoming sequel. Director Motonobu Hori (Carole & Tuesday) leads the project, while Kimiko Ueno (Astro Note) manages series composition and scripts. Kōhei Tokuoka (The Fragrant Flower Blooms With Dignity) returns to handle character designs and chief animation direction. Musical composition will again be spearheaded by the duo of Taisei Iwasaki (BELLE) and Yuma Yamaguchi (Metallic Rouge).
Serialized on Shueisha's Shonen Jump+ digital service since April 2022, Marriage Toxin follows Hikaru Gero, the reluctant heir to a clan of master poisoners. To shield his sister from being forced into a political marriage to produce an heir, Gero strikes a deal with master swindler Mei Kinosaki to embark on the ultimate quest: learning how to date and securing a genuine bride amidst high-stakes underworld battles.
