The staff behind the anime adaptation of Hitsuji Gondaira's Mission: Yozakura Family manga have rolled out an extensive new promotional video. The fresh preview highlights incoming cast members alongside upcoming musical contributions as the spy comedy prepares to resume its broadcast schedule.
New Cast Additions and Visuals
The upcoming block introduces five notable additions to the sprawling spy roster. Hōchū Ōtsuka steps in as Alexandryu, Miku Itō takes on the role of Shura, Yumiri Hanamori voices Cyber Demon Lord Giga, Sumire Uesaka portrays Dr. Mozu, and Naomi Shindoh rounds out the group as Hulang. Additionally, character designs for Kosmos Akizakura have been revealed, though casting details for the role remain unannounced.
Broadcast Details and Production Staff
The second part of the current television season is slated to debut on MBS, TBS, and 28 affiliated networks on October 11 at 5:00 p.m. JST. Musical backing will feature the rock band Humbreaders performing the opening theme song "Forever Song," while vocal group KID PHENOMENON handles the ending theme "I'm Still Breathing."
Production duties continue under animation studio SILVER LINK, with Mirai Minato serving as chief director and overseeing series composition. Takahiro Nakatsugawa directs the series, backed by returning character designer Mizuki Takahashi and composer Kōji Fujimoto. The original manga by Hitsuji Gondaira ran in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump from August 2019 until its conclusion in January 2025, spanning 29 compiled volumes.
