Production on the upcoming television anime adaptation of Keigo Shinzō's acclaimed slice-of-life manga Hirayasumi has expanded its ensemble. The production committee, featuring a formidable co-production partnership between Shogakukan-Shueisha Productions and Production +h., announced five major supporting cast members set to join the NHK broadcast in January 2027.
The newly unveiled cast brings significant industry weight to the gentle, contemplative human drama. Daisuke Namikawa steps into the role of Hideki Noguchi, a high school acquaintance of protagonist Hiroto Ikuta who now navigates adult life managing a trendy furniture boutique. Yōko Hikasa joins as Yomogi Tachibana, a career-oriented professional grappling with existential exhaustion after dedicating her entire routine to corporate labor. Meanwhile, Yume Miyamoto portrays Akari Yokoyama, serving as Natsumi's very first companion, and Yūichirō Umehara voices Ryō Ishikawa, a novelist experiencing a mild creative plateau following the massive success of his debut works. Veteran television announcer Yūko Naitō rounds out the roster as the series narrator.
