The official website for the television anime adaptation of Keigo Shinzou's critically acclaimed slice-of-life manga Hirayasumi has unveiled its first major promotional updates, confirming a premiere window on NHK for January 2027. Alongside the announcement, the production team dropped a cozy teaser promotional video and a striking main visual that capture the signature laid-back atmosphere of the source material.
Steering the animation is director Kei Suezawa, known for his work on Fate/Grand Order: Shinsei Entaku Ryuoiki Camelot - Wandering; Agateram, heading the project at studio Production +h. Suezawa is also taking charge of the series composition and script. Visual identity is being shaped by character designer Naoyuki Asano, celebrated for his expressive work on Eizouken ni wa Te wo Dasu na!, alongside art director Mika Nishimura. The auditory landscape of the series will be scored by composer Kaori Sawada.
The initial voice cast brings together an intriguing mix of talent to breathe life into Shinzou's relatable characters. Yuuma Uchida will star as the carefree protagonist Hiroto Ikuta, joined by Mayu Takahashi as Natsumi Kobayashi, and Rikako Aikawa as Hanae Wada.
Keigo Shinzou originally launched the manga in Shogakukan's Big Comic Spirits magazine in April 2021. The series has steadily won over readers with its gentle exploration of unhurried living, with VIZ Media handling the English language release for international audiences.
