Bandai Namco Filmworks has announced two brand-new additions to the voice cast of Mahō no Shimai Lulutto Lilly (Magical Sisters Lulutto Lilly), the magical girl television anime produced in collaboration with Studio Pierrot. The newly revealed characters will make their debut during the series' 15th episode on October 18, bringing fresh faces to the sprawling magical universe.
According to the latest announcements, veteran voice actor Hirofumi Nojima will step into the role of Umezō, a resident of the mystical country Felix Star. Alongside Nojima, Shōgo Yano joins the roster as Tachibana, an actor portraying the headmaster's son within a drama sequence that characters Lilly and Rin are actively shooting. These additions follow a wave of autumn casting updates for the second part of the narrative arc.
Production Background and Broadcast Journey
Directed by Shintarō Dōge at Studio Pierrot with series composition supervised by Yūko Kakihara, Magical Sisters Lulutto Lilly follows the dual lives of sisters Fū and Rui. After encountering a mysterious spaceship, the estranged siblings independently gain magical powers that allow them to transform into their ideal adult selves—all while keeping their secret identities under wraps and pursuing secret idol careers.
The series initially premiered its first part on April 5 across multiple Japanese networks including Tokyo MX and AT-X. Following a scheduled broadcast break, the second split-cour half kicked off on October 4. Global audiences have received broad streaming availability through platforms like Tubi in North America, Ani-One across Asian territories, and multilingual subtitle rollouts directly via Bandai Namco Filmworks' official YouTube channel.
