Creator Uoyama's serialized drama manga Kimi to Issho ni Kayoitai (I Want to Go to School With You) is reaching its climax. The 21st issue of Hakusensha's Young Animal magazine announced that the series will conclude with its upcoming final chapter on November 13.
The narrative follows Seita, a victim of bullying who receives an unexpected invitation from his childhood friend Mitsuru to apply for an elite private high school run entirely by students. Although Seita successfully passes the rigorous entrance examinations, a cruel twist of fate leaves Mitsuru behind. Upon uncovering the hidden circumstances surrounding Mitsuru's rejection, Seita dedicates himself to pursuing justice for his companion.
Uoyama originally launched the series in Young Animal in July 2025 following previous successful works. The creator is widely recognized for other notable manga titles, including Kogure Sister & Brother's Requiem Cafe and the critically acclaimed romantic comedy Love's in Sight! (Yankee-kun to Hakujō Girl), which was published internationally by Viz Media.
