Expanding its growing catalogue of translated manhwa, publishing imprint Ize Press announced two new Korean webtoon licenses during their industry panel at New York Comic-Con: the fantasy BL epic Regas and the monster-cooking comedy Eat Before You Go.
Regas adapts the original story by samk, featuring illustrations by Daengmeong and script adaptation by Lee kkeut. Set within a fantasy kingdom where royal heirs inherit ancient dragon blessings, the narrative centers on a crown prince whose immense supernatural powers have severely eroded his sanity. Enter Abel, a specially trained Regas tasked with breaking through the isolation, trying to ground the unstable monarch as high-stakes political intrigue brews around them. The digital series has already amassed over two million reads across major platforms including Lezhin, Tappytoon, Manta, and Tapas.
A Hero's Kitchen
The second acquisition, Eat Before You Go, stems from an original story by Ko Doo Yeol, with webtoon adaptation by Kim Haema and artwork by "the Bichon". The series blends high fantasy action with cozy culinary elements, following legendary hero Miro Laikas. After spending three decades slaying a demon lord, Miro returns to Earth only to find his homeland infested with monsters. Choosing domesticity over endless warfare, he opens a unique eatery utilizing harvested monster parts as gourmet ingredients, all while raising a baby dragon and handling occasional supernatural disruptions. Originally serialized on WEBTOON, the title has surpassed eight million views.
While Ize Press has secured the physical publishing rights for both titles, specific release windows and pre-order schedules remain under wraps.
