The slice-of-life romantic comedy manga Houkagou Kitaku Biyori (After School Go-Home Day) by creator Mai Matsuda is officially receiving a television anime adaptation. The broadcast is scheduled to debut in April 2027 on Nippon TV, bringing the eccentric antics of the ultimate go-home club to the screen.
Serialized in Futabasha's Manga Action and web Action magazines, the story follows Naoki Sato—an enigmatic senior nicknamed "Chokki-chan" who treats heading straight home as a serious philosophy—and Shun Sato, a defeated freshman who has abandoned his former dreams. Together, the two navigate school life through their unconventional activities in the "Hyper Go-Home Club."
Club Activities Begin
To celebrate the project's greenlight, original author Mai Matsuda shared a special commemorative illustration featuring the main characters. The series released its seventh compiled volume on October 8, maintaining a steady following among fans of laid-back romantic comedies.
