The ongoing broadcast of the Horror Collector TV anime series has expanded its voice cast, introducing three new actors to the supernatural mystery project. The series officially premiered in Japan on October 10, 2026, and streams internationally via Crunchyroll.
The newly announced additions feature Sae Hiratsuka stepping into the role of Momo, alongside Ryota Osaka as Raita, and Hana Hishikawa portraying Sachiko Konno. They round out an ensemble that already includes Hiiro Ishibashi as Fushigi Senno, Jun Fukuyama as Jimmy, Saori Hayami as Himitsu, and Nobuhiko Okamoto as the Blue Umbrella Man.
Animation production is handled by Studio Palette, with Yuki Inaba directing the project and overseeing series composition. The narrative originates from the children's mystery horror novel series written by Midori Sato, supervised by veteran J-horror director Norio Tsuruta, and illustrated by Yon. First launched under the Kadokawa Tsubasa Bunko imprint in June 2015, the literary franchise has amassed 29 volumes.
English language audiences can explore the source material through Yen Press, which licenses the light novels and manga adaptation for Western publication. The publisher summarizes the chilling premise:
The internet is full of creepypastas, cryptid sightings, tales of paranormal activity, and unsolved disappearances. These are mostly rumors and pranks fueled by trolls—entertainment. But the unlucky few learn the hard way that some legends are true. Many of these unfortunate souls are doomed, but their luck may change if they cross paths with the boy in the red hood. He roams from town to town and appears wherever strange things occur. Is he a light in the dark? Or living proof that monsters are all too real…?
