The official website for the television anime adaptation of Midori Satō's Horror Collector (Kyōfu Collector) novel series has expanded its voice cast roster. The upcoming supernatural series, scheduled to premiere on NHK on October 10, added three performers to its regular lineup alongside a trio of notable guest stars for the opening episodes.
Joining the cast are Sae Hiratsuka as Momo, Ryōta Ōsaka as Raita, and Hana Hishikawa as Sachiko Konno. Additionally, the production unveiled the guest cast for the initial three episodes: Yōko Hikasa steps into the role of Urban Legend Woman for the premiere, Sumire Uesaka voices high schooler Seira Takada in episode two, and Yūma Uchida portrays magazine journalist Takaaki Saitō in the third episode. They join a previously announced principal cast that includes Hiiro Ishibashi as Fushigi Senno, Jun Fukuyama as Jimmy, Saori Hayami as Himitsu, and Nobuhiko Okamoto as Blue Umbrella Man.

Helming the project at Studio Palette is director and series composition lead Yuki Inaba, recognized for his work on KamiKatsu: Working for God in a Godless World and the second season of Our Last Crusade or the Rise of a New World. Character designs are crafted by Kaori Yoshikawa, while the atmospheric musical score is composed by Masato Kōda. Audio direction is handled by Tetsuya Gunji. International audiences will be able to follow the broadcasts as Crunchyroll has confirmed it will stream the series worldwide as it airs in Japan.
Originally launched by Kadokawa in June 2015 with supervision by Norio Tsuruta and illustrations by Yon, the source novel series recently published its 29th volume.
