The official website for the television anime adaptation of Aki Irie's acclaimed supernatural drama manga Hokuhokusei ni Kumo to Ike (Go with the Clouds, North-by-Northwest) has shared a massive wave of production details. Fans can officially mark their calendars for a 2027 broadcast on TBS, with global streaming secured exclusively through Netflix.
Leading the atmospheric mystery as protagonist Kei Miyama is voice actor Tomohiro Ono. The production brings together an elite creative lineup at studio Qzil.la. Takashi Sano takes the helm as chief director and handles series composition, working alongside director Yousuke Kubo. Meanwhile, character designs are crafted by Chikashi Kubota, known for his striking work on One Punch Man.
Aki Irie initially launched the distinct supernatural drama in Harta magazine back in March 2016, later transitioning the series to Aokishi magazine in April 2021. Kadokawa published the seventh compiled volume in February 2024, contributing to a cumulative 1.6 million copies in print. With English publication handled by Kodansha, the title has built a dedicated international following eager to see Irie's detailed Icelandic landscapes brought to motion.
