The Premise of Survival and Romance
Originally serialized on Shogakukan's Manga ONE platform from 2023 until January 2026, the source material follows Satoko, a young noblewoman whose declining health leaves her with a severely limited lifespan. When she unexpectedly crosses paths with a ruthless assassin named Shinpei who targets her life, Satoko makes a high-stakes counter-proposal: marriage. Shinpei accepts, taking the vow of "until death do us part" with terrifying literalness.
