Franchise Background
Originally penned by author Akumi Agitogi with illustrations by Tsukiho Tsukioka, the historical fantasy romance launched as a light novel series in January 2019 under Kadokawa’s Fujimi L Bunko imprint. The narrative follows Miyo Saimori, a young woman stripped of her birthright and mistreated by an unloving family, whose arranged engagement to cold military commander Kiyoka Kudo becomes an unexpected journey of emotional healing and dormant supernatural discovery.
