Toei Animation and developer Studio51 have dropped a fresh teaser trailer for Expelled from Paradise -The Stellar Angel-, confirming a November 26 launch for Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam. The upcoming visual novel will feature full bilingual support in English and Japanese, bringing international players directly into its next digital chapter.
Acting as a direct narrative continuation of the original theatrical anime, the game explores the aftermath of Angela and Dingo's journey. Toei Animation positions the project as a comprehensive sci-fi experience driven by evocative writing and immersive directorial choices. This interactive expansion arrives alongside the heavily anticipated feature film Rakuen Tsuihō -Expelled from Paradise- Kokoro no Resonance, which hits Japanese theaters on November 13.
Creative Lineup and Franchise Legacy
The cinematic sequel reunites the core creative force behind the 2014 original, featuring direction by Seiji Mizushima, scripts penned by Gen Urobuchi of Nitroplus, character designs by Masatsugu Saitō, and musical composition by NARASAKI. Animation production is handled by Toei Animation.
The original film initially carved out a distinct legacy following its late 2014 theatrical debut, subsequently winning the Best Animation of the Year Award at the 24th Japan Movie Critics Awards. After a 10th-anniversary 4K theatrical revival, the franchise is entering a major revitalization phase across both gaming and cinema.
