To mark three monumental decades of broadcast history, TMS Entertainment has announced a massive two-hour television special for Detective Conan (Meitantei Konan). Titled The Case of Serial Number 30, the special is scheduled to air on September 25, 2026, during Nippon Television's prestigious Friday Roadshow block, bringing together an unprecedented ensemble cast to tackle a national crisis.
The plot centers around a high-stakes counterfeiting conspiracy triggered by the issuance of a new 10,000-yen banknote featuring the iconic Tokyo Tower. When National Police Agency document examination expert Toko Satomi—voiced by guest star and 1996-born multi-hyphenate Elaiza Ikeda—declares a piece of currency found at a murder scene to be an ultra-sophisticated counterfeit dubbed 'Ultra 30', a sprawling multi-jurisdictional investigation kicks into motion. Conan, Heiji, and an all-star roster of detectives from across Japan are mobilized to secure the nation's paper currency factories.

Directing the anniversary spectacle is Kenichi Kamanaka, working from a screenplay penned by veteran writer Takeharu Sakurai. Alongside the main narrative, a special secondary audio track will feature key cast members Minami Takayama, Akemi Okamura, Rikiya Koyama, Ryo Horikawa, Yuko Miyamura, and director Kamanaka sharing behind-the-scenes recording secrets.
Renowned songstress Mai Kuraki returns to contribute the special's theme song, titled Hallelujah. Kuraki, who holds the Guinness World Record for the most theme songs sung for a single anime series, shared that the track was crafted with deep affection for the franchise's overarching message of resilience, human connection, and hope.
