The Detective Conan (Meitantei Conan) television anime is marking its monumental 30th broadcast anniversary with a sweeping celebratory lineup. Kicking off the festivities, a two-hour special titled Detective Conan: Case No. 30 Murder Case will air on September 25 during Nippon TV's Friday Road Show block, representing the franchise's first two-hour television special in a decade. Immediately following, a three-week consecutive broadcast starting September 26 will adapt the fan-favorite Osaka-centric arc Akane-iro no Senshuraku from Gosho Aoyama's original manga volume 106.
At the Kyoto International Manga Anime Fair (Kyomaf) 2026, voice actors Ryo Horikawa (Heiji Hattori) and Yuko Miyamura (Kazuha Toyama) took the stage in traditional kimono attire for the special panel Detective Conan 30th Anniversary Stage: Dokidoki! Akane-iro no Makake!. The event served as the worldwide premiere for the third wave of the project's six-week consecutive information rollout, treating fans to the main trailer for the Case No. 30 Murder Case featuring Conan Edogawa and the assembled all-star cast tackling a complex conspiracy involving counterfeit new currency.
The celebration also highlighted the emotional journey of Heiji and Kazuha with a dedicated special promotional video titled Two People's Love. Reflecting on the recording sessions for the upcoming arc, Miyamura shared heartfelt thoughts about the enduring support from both production staff and viewers, noting a deep sense of connection to original voice cast members like Wakana Yamazaki and guest star Akemi Okamura. Horikawa echoed these sentiments, emphasizing the enduring legacy and emotional depth of Heiji and Kazuha's relationship across three decades of broadcast history.
Further expanding the musical legacy of the franchise, singer Mai Kuraki has been confirmed to provide the new ending theme song titled Ai de Zenbu Dakishimete Aishite for the Akane-iro no Senshuraku broadcast. This marks Kuraki's 30th tie-in song for the Detective Conan franchise, coinciding perfectly with the anime's 30th anniversary year. In a message read aloud during the stage event, Kuraki expressed gratitude for the profound themes of love and existence embedded within Gosho Aoyama's enduring narrative world.
The special presentation concluded with live script-free voice acting performances by Horikawa and Miyamura, delighting both the live audience and online viewers streaming via the official Detective Conan YouTube channel. With a star-studded secondary audio track confirmed for the upcoming TV special featuring Minami Takayama, Akemi Okamura, Rikiya Koyama, Horikawa, Miyamura, and director Masaharu Kamanaka, the franchise demonstrates that its meticulous world-building remains as vibrant as ever.
