Long-running television mystery flagship Detective Conan (Meitantei Conan) is heading into the decisive conclusion of its latest Osaka storyline. Ahead of the broadcast of Episode 1216, titled “The Madder-Red Grand Finale (Closing Act),” official preview stills and narrative details spotlight the resolution of both an elusive serial murder case and Heiji Hattori’s personal stakes.
Adapted from Gosho Aoyama’s canonical manga narrative in Volume 106, the three-part arc reaches its summit following the terrifying spree orchestrated under the moniker “Puppet Devil” at the Naniwa Arts Theater. Even as Conan Edogawa and Heiji unravel the core mystery behind the third murder, the culprit’s final gambit springs into motion.
Osaka Skies and Critical Decisions
While the mastermind prepares a final tragedy, Kazuha Toyama and Ran Mouri arrive at the Naniwa Harukas observation deck at Heiji’s request. Beneath the glowing crimson sunset over Osaka, the confrontation at the theater collides with Heiji’s long-anticipated confession attempt.
The animated adaptation continues under the experienced stewardship of directors Yasuichiro Yamamoto and Nobuharu Kamanaka at TMS Entertainment, with character designs by franchise mainstay Masatomo Sudo.
Episode 1216 airs Saturday, October 10 at 18:00 JST across Yomiuri TV and Nippon TV networks.
