As Detective Conan marches deeper into its milestone 30th anniversary year on television, TMS Entertainment has shared the official synopsis and advance preview cuts for upcoming episode 1214, titled Akane-iro no Senshūraku (Shonichi). Scheduled to broadcast on September 26, 2026, this installment adapts a beloved mystery arc straight from Gosho Aoyama's long-running manga.
The narrative brings Kogoro and Heiji to Osaka's Naniwa Arts Theater to attend a stage production inspired by their own exploits. Following the performance, Heiji learns from the cast about a renowned sunset viewpoint from the Naniwa Harukas observation deck, inspiring him to declare his intentions to confess his feelings to Kazuha. However, the theatrical troupe is overshadowed by tragedy, tied to the past death of a director once dubbed the 'Puppet Demon.' As a string of eerie accidents befalls the crew, a tense investigation begins.
The animated adaptation continues a legacy that began in 1996 under the production of Yomiuri Telecasting Corporation and TMS Entertainment. With Gosho Aoyama's original manga serialization in Shogakukan's Weekly Shōnen Sunday surpassing thousands of chapters and heading toward its 109th volume, the weekly broadcast remains a cornerstone of Japanese television animation.
