The long-running Detective Conan anime adaptation is gearing up for a major multi-week television event focusing on fan-favorite characters Heiji Hattori and Kazuha Toyama. Adapted from Gosho Aoyama’s iconic manga serialized in Shogakukan's Weekly Shonen Sunday, the special three-week broadcast arc titled "Akane-iro no Senshuraku" is scheduled to kick off on September 26, 2026.
The upcoming storyline adapts chapters from the 106th volume of the original manga. Set against the theatrical backdrop of the Naniwa Arts Theater in Osaka, Conan Edogawa and his companions find themselves tangled in a series of targeted murders threatening the stage crew. Beyond the high-stakes mystery, the episodes highlight the evolving dynamic and romance between the Kansai high school detective Heiji and his longtime friend Kazuha.
To celebrate the broadcast, streaming platform TVer is launching a special curated collection titled "Akane-iro ni Somaru Omoi!! Heiji & Kazuha Selection." The massive retrospective features 36 handpicked episodes chronicling the duo's relationship history.
The curated lineup spans nearly three decades of television history, beginning with Kazuha’s memorable anime debut in the 1998 broadcast of Episode 118, "The Naniwa Serial Murder Case," all the way through to the 2023 two-part story "The Ominous Matchmaking."
The free streaming marathon runs from September 26 through November 7, 2026, releasing one episode daily with a one-week viewing window per entry.
