As Detective Conan celebrates its landmark 30th broadcast anniversary, TMS Entertainment and Yomiuri TV have delivered a historic moment that long-time fans have awaited for years. The conclusion of the recent three-part television arc, Crimson Sensuraku, finally featured the long-delayed romantic breakthrough between fan-favorite characters Heiji Hattori and Kazuha Toyama atop the Osaka skyline.
To commemorate this monumental milestone in Gosho Aoyama’s iconic detective franchise, the Abeno Harukas observation deck (Harukas 300) is launching a special interactive attraction starting October 11. Visitors can step into a recreation of the romantic climax, accompanied by authentic audio cues straight from the broadcast. Furthermore, departing visitors riding the tower's elevators will be treated to exclusive, newly recorded dialogue written entirely by original creator Gosho Aoyama, detailing what transpired between Heiji and Kazuha immediately following their confession.
The celebratory campaign extends far beyond the observation deck. Osaka will host dedicated promotional transport, including specialized ad cruises running from October 11 to 13, ad trucks traversing the city streets through October 17, and high-impact large-scale visual displays stationed in the Hankyu Umeda Station concourse to honor the newly minted couple.
Voice actors Ryo Horikawa (Heiji) and Yuko Miyamura (Kazuha) shared their heartfelt reactions to the historic script development. Horikawa humorously reflected on the chaotic nature of the confession, noting that while it did not go according to a traditional romantic playbook, Heiji ultimately earned his stripes. Miyamura jokingly added that although it felt like waiting twenty-five years for the moment to arrive, she is already petitioning the author for double-date storylines featuring the couple.
