10th Anniversary Revival
In celebration of the 10th anniversary of the Bungo Stray Dogs television anime, Kadokawa has announced a limited Japanese theatrical re-release of the 2018 feature film Bungo Stray Dogs: DEAD APPLE. The film will return to 30 selected cinemas across Japan starting December 25, 2026. Online Muviticket advance sales begin on October 18, offering buyers exclusive digital smartphone wallpapers alongside digital collectible cards featuring special New Year artwork.
Cultural Pilgrimage & Events
The literary superpower franchise created by writer Kafka Asagiri and illustrator Sango Harukawa is also partnering with Goshogawara City in Aomori Prefecture—the historic birthplace of real-life author Osamu Dazai. From January 23 through April 18, 2027, the Osamu Dazai Memorial Museum "Shayokan" will host a special collaborative event titled "Bungo Stray Dogs × Osamu Dazai Memorial Museum Shayokan: Traveling with Dazai." The project includes citywide stamp rallies, Tsugaru Railway campaign trains, guest talk shows, and museum-exclusive merchandise.
Streaming Marathon
Directed by Takuya Igarashi at studio BONES, Bungo Stray Dogs: DEAD APPLE takes place six years after the infamous Dragon's Head Conflict. The narrative follows Atsushi Nakajima and the Armed Detective Agency as they investigate Tatsuhiko Shibusawa, a mysterious figure connected to a wave of fog-bound supernatural suicides. To accompany the theatrical push, streaming service ABEMA is broadcasting a complete marathon of Season 3 (Episodes 26–37) beginning October 19, complete with a two-week catch-up window for viewers.
