BLEACH: Thousand-Year Blood War has officially added veteran voice actor Yuki Kaji to its cast, featuring him as the adult version of Toshiro Hitsugaya. He made his official debut in Episode 44, which premiered today (August 15, 2026). The role is officially credited as “Toshiro Hitsugaya (Complete Bankai).”
Yuki Kaji is widely celebrated in the anime industry for voicing numerous iconic characters, including Eren Yeager in Attack on Titan, Shoto Todoroki in My Hero Academia, Meliodas in The Seven Deadly Sins, and Kenma Kozume in Haikyu!!, among many others.
Created by Tite Kubo, BLEACH was serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump from 2001 to 2016, spanning 74 volumes and exceeding 130 million copies in circulation worldwide, making it one of the best-selling manga series of all time. The original anime adaptation aired from 2004 to 2012 alongside four theatrical films. The franchise triumphantly returned in 2022 with BLEACH: Thousand-Year Blood War to adapt its final narrative arc, with Part 4 scheduled to release this July. Tite Kubo has confirmed that the upcoming final part will feature even more original material than previous segments to further expand the manga's final battles. Meanwhile, the upcoming game BLEACH: Mirrors High recently revealed its protagonists in a new trailer showcasing original character designs by Tite Kubo himself.
