Iconic manga creator Youka Nitta and Libre Publishing's Be x Boy imprint have announced that a brand-new serialization for the landmark boys-love franchise Embracing Love (Haru o Daiteita) will launch in spring 2027. Additionally, the imprint has confirmed plans to release the Haru o Daiteita Daily manga this coming November, giving longtime enthusiasts of the veteran romance series even more content to look forward to following recent spinoff appearances.
Refining her commitment to the project, Nitta shared that while the exact length of the upcoming continuation remains flexible, she intends to keep working on the series passionately "until they are dried out." The creator expressed profound gratitude for the continuous waves of reader requests and creative suggestions centering on character interactions and untold moments during intermissions within the main timeline. This announcement follows Nitta's recent two-part spinoff manga titled Secret Chamber, serialized across the August and October issues of Libre Publishing's Be-Boy Gold magazine.
A Cornerstone of Boys-Love History
Originally running from 1999 to 2009, Embracing Love remains a foundational pillar of modern boys-love manga, capturing the tumultuous professional and romantic lives of adult film stars Iwaki Kyousuke and Katou Yoji. The original masterwork inspired two original video animation episodes and established Nitta as an influential voice in romantic drama. North American publication history spans editions from Central Park Media and JManga, with Viz Media's SuBLime imprint currently housing the definitive omnibus releases for English-language readers.
