Koei Tecmo and Team Ninja have officially scheduled the launch of Wo Long 2: Wings of Ember, the highly anticipated sequel to their 2023 dark fantasy action role-playing title Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty. The game is set to arrive worldwide on March 4, 2027, bringing its signature high-octane combat and historical fantasy aesthetic to current-generation platforms including the Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2, Xbox PC, and PC via Steam.
Accompanying the release date announcement, Koei Tecmo has released an official teaser trailer detailing the atmospheric world and punishing combat mechanics players can expect from the upcoming sequel.
Alpha Demo & Pre-Order Bonuses
Eager fans do not have to wait until 2027 to experience the action. A playable alpha demo is currently available across participating platforms, giving players an early taste of the combat improvements and new mechanics. Those who successfully complete the demo will secure an exclusive in-game Fledgling Phoenix Helmet for the full release.
Additionally, Koei Tecmo detailed pre-order incentives and special editions. All standard pre-orders will include the Harvest God Armor set and the Creator Goddess Garb set. Meanwhile, the digital deluxe edition bundles the comprehensive season pass, a digital mini soundtrack, a digital artbook, the Shitieshou Hat, and the Creator God Armor set.
Expanding the Dark Fantasy Legacy
The original Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty launched in March 2023 to strong engagement, later receiving a Complete Edition in February 2024 that bundled its trio of major expansions. With Team Ninja steering the development of Wo Long 2: Wings of Ember, the studio aims to refine the fast-paced deflection mechanics and deep character building that defined its predecessor while expanding hardware support to next-generation systems.
