Franchise Origins and Format
Originating as a popular vertical-scrolling webtoon created by SORAJIMA and Aminohada, the story follows Rua, a saintess candidate whose healing magic requires transferring all physical injuries onto her own body. Betrayed by those she trusted and stripped of credit for her sacrifices, Rua chooses to embrace a path of retribution under the guidance of a mysterious prince.
Rua is a saintess candidate who possesses the power of healing. But her ability had one flaw: she could only heal others by transferring their wounds onto herself. Because of this, others bullied her, calling her the 'Fallen Saintess.'
The adaptation utilizes Dai Nippon Printing's (DNP) specialized "light anime" pipeline—a streamlined production model designed to produce animated series on an accelerated timeframe with optimized overhead compared to traditional studio pipelines.
