VIZ Media has officially unveiled its expansive licensing roster for summer 2027, bringing a diverse wave of new manga publications, art books, and official guides to English-reading enthusiasts. The upcoming release window promises something for every preference, ranging from legendary masterworks to fresh comedy, supernatural action, and creative nonfiction.
JoJolion and Major Manga Debuts
Topping the slate is Hirohiko Araki's critically acclaimed JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Part 8—JoJolion. Set in the alternate Morioh universe shared with Steel Ball Run, this bizarre mystery will debut in a deluxe hardcover collector's edition complete with restored color pages. Alongside Araki's masterpiece, VIZ is launching several new titles including Ei Yamano's comedy-romance Someone Hertz, Kyo Tanimoto's assassin-turned-doctor thriller Under Doctor, Rose Takada's His Sweet Solace, Ru1mm's fairy tale yuri romance Belladonna’s Lover, and Sakane Toyobayashi's nostalgic slice-of-life Bus for Two.
Special Editions and Official Guides
Collectors and franchise loyalists also have plenty to anticipate with several comprehensive omnibus editions and companion books. Studio Ghibli aficionados can look forward to the Howl’s Moving Castle Film Comic: All-in-One Edition presented by Hayao Miyazaki, while shojo fans receive the definitive Kamisama Kiss Complete Box Set by Julietta Suzuki, containing all 25 volumes, a double-sided poster, and an exclusive mini art book. Furthermore, Yukinobu Tatsu's supernatural smash gets expanded through Dandadan: The Official Character Guide, which packs character profiles, trivia, and twenty-two pages of brand-new manga.
