The fantasy saga of Oscar and Tinasha approaches its final curtain. Kadokawa's Dengeki no Shinbungei editorial department confirmed that Kuji Furumiya and illustrator chibi's sequel light novel series, Unnamed Memory: After the End, will conclude with its eighth volume on December 17.
The Road to the Finale
Furumiya launched Unnamed Memory: After the End in February 2022 as a continuation of the flagship romantic fantasy story. Kadokawa released the sixth volume in May 2025, while the penultimate seventh volume is slated to arrive on November 17, paving the way for the December finale.
The narrative originated on Furumiya's personal web page in 2008 before transitioning to the user-generated site Shousetsuka ni Narou in September 2012. Kadokawa subsequently published the mainline story across six volumes between September 2019 and April 2021 under the Dengeki no Shinbungei label. The series gained critical acclaim within the community, securing first place in the novel category of the prestigious Kono Light Novel ga Sugoi! 2020 guide book.
Cross-Media Expansion
The success of the original novels led to a broader multimedia footprint:
- Manga Adaptation: Illustrated by Naoki Etsuma, serialization began in Monthly Dengeki Daioh in September 2020.
- Anime Series: Studio ENGI produced the 12-episode first season in Spring 2024, followed by Unnamed Memory Act.2 in Winter 2025.
- English Localization: Yen Press handles official English editions for both the core light novels and manga.
