The story of Prince Oscar and the Witch Tinasha is drawing to its official conclusion. Imprint Dengeki Bunko (Kadokawa) has announced that Kuji Furumiya's sequel light novel series, Unnamed Memory –after the end-, will end with its eighth volume on December 17. On the same date, Kadokawa will also publish the Unnamed Memory Archives -chibi art works- artbook, celebrating the work of illustrator Chibi.
Legacy of the Azure Moon
The original narrative began in September 2012 when Furumiya launched Unnamed Memory as a web novel on Shosetsuka ni Naro. ASCII Media Works later acquired the property for print publication under Dengeki no Shin Bungei, releasing six core volumes between January 2019 and April 2021. The plot centres on Oscar, Crown Prince of Farsas, who seeks to break a deadly curse that kills any woman who carries his offspring. His search leads him to the tower of Tinasha, the Witch of Azure Moon. Realizing her immense magic makes her immune to the curse's fatal effect, Oscar makes an unexpected move: asking the witch to marry him.
Following the main story's conclusion, Furumiya and Dengeki no Shin Bungei launched Unnamed Memory -after the end- in February 2022 to chronicle the couple's continuing trials. The franchise also spawned a two-season television anime adaptation produced by Studio ENGI, featuring lead voice performances by Yoshiko Nakajima as Oscar and Atsumi Tanezaki as Tinasha.
