Following the broadcast of the final episode, the production committee confirmed that a second season is already in development and scheduled to premiere in 2027, accompanied by an official teaser promotional video.
Produced by animation studio Unend, the television series adapts the acclaimed manga by Yuuki Ikeda. The source material was serialized in Kodansha's Monthly Shounen Magazine from May 2022 to June 2026, concluding with its tenth and final volume in August 2026. Internationally, Netflix has handled the worldwide simulcast with subtitles, bringing the eerie narrative to global audiences.
