Digital manga publisher Comikey has officially announced the acquisition and release of Mato Kauta's critically acclaimed shojo series The Wolf King’s Bride (Ōkami-Heika no Hanayome). Fans looking to experience the historical romance can access the first five chapters immediately, with fresh installments scheduled to drop every Friday on the platform.
Originally serialized in Hakusensha's esteemed LaLa magazine between 2009 and 2018, the sprawling romance spans 19 collected volumes. Despite its long-standing popularity in Japan, the title remained without an official English release until now. The narrative follows Yurin, the daughter of a low-ranking imperial official, who takes on a lucrative yet perilous position inside the royal palace, only to discover she must pose as the bride of the intimidating Wolf King, Haku Reisho.
Alongside this major acquisition, Comikey continues its extensive autumn rollout, featuring several additional webtoons and manga titles from major Japanese publishers hitting the service throughout October.
