Following the massive cultural footprint left by their supernatural hit Noragami, manga creator duo Adachitoka is returning to Kodansha's Monthly Shonen Magazine with an entirely fresh narrative. Titled The Wolf at Memory's End (known in Japan as Yadoya no Oinu-sama), the series centers on Kasumi Kuromine, a rural junior high school student whose life pivots dramatically after she suffers a dangerous fall down a mountainside during a school field trip.
Readers eager to experience the creators' distinct artistic flair won't have to wait long. Digital platform K MANGA has officially confirmed that it will publish the English version of the series on October 5, mere hours before the physical Japanese debut in Monthly Shonen Magazine on October 6.
This new project marks the first major serialization for Adachitoka since the conclusion of Noragami: Stray God, which ran from 2010 to January 2024 across 27 collected volumes. The original urban fantasy favorite inspired two acclaimed television anime adaptations by studio BONES, premiering in 2014 and 2015 respectively, alongside multiple original anime DVDs. With The Wolf at Memory's End, the creative team trades divine intervention for a moody, rural mystery that promises the same intricate character work and emotional depth.
