The dark fantasy adaptation of Dr.Poro and Nabana Naba's acclaimed action manga The Vermillion Mask (Shuiro no Kamen) has officially confirmed its broadcast trajectory. Following its initial split-cour rollout, the production committee announced that the series' highly anticipated second part will debut in April 2027, broadcasting regularly every Saturday at 5:30 p.m. JST across Yomiuri TV and NTV.
Serialized originally in Shōnengahōsha's Young King Ours magazine since February 2021, the narrative centers on Peru, a young apprentice mask maker whose life shatters when a cursed artifact forces him into a tragic massacre. Behind the adaptation is 100Studio, with Tetsuaki Watanabe (BLUELOCK season 1) steering the project as director, alongside series composition by Daisuke Ōhigashi and character designs penned by Hisashi Higashijima. Musical arrangements are spearheaded by Arisa Okehazama, complementing theme songs performed by MAN WITH A MISSION and yutori.
